My laundry room is done!
This project has been going on for two years. The laundry room was poorly laid out, so we fixed it. We moved electrical, plumbing, flooring, and sheetrock so that the washer and dryer could be on the other wall. As it turns out Matt can do ANYTHING (except get a job - he says). It is a great improvement on our old laundry room and cost about 100$. Now to get the dryer working...
Name that bald head.
Can you name that head? Heights have been adjusted.
Sam had a tick in his ear so we shaved everybody's head so that we spot any in their hair. We didn't find any additional ticks but everyone is now bald. In the process of haircuts, Gideon slipped in the tub and cut open his eye. That will go nicely with his and Titus's already fat and split lower lips.

I'd rather have Jesus.
Boyd Update.
God is at work in our lives. Some of you heard that Matt went to Worland Wy this week for a job interview and while he was there was offered a job at Empire College. It has been one wild ride, even for the Boyd family.
The position at Empire was fraught with communication issues, Empire employee one thought employee two had offered the job immediately. They both figured out he hadn't yet been offered the job while Matt was in Wyoming. Employee one offered it on Tuesday, employee two gave it away Wednesday, employee three reoffered it Thursday and told Matt to call employee one if he was interested. When he called, Matt got employee one's voicemail. The position is looking closed. Bummer.
We were told by Banner Health in Wyoming that Matt was the only guy they were serious about. They said we would hear from them on Thursday. We waited all Thursday and heard nothing. Matt got a call from an employee today that they are bringing another guy out to interview so he won't hear anything until next week. Also bummer.
We are discouraged. BUT!
These things we know: Our God is a GOOD God. Our God is our provider. He doesn't give us any difficulty that we can't handle. Our God's timing is perfect. He is our sustainor. He is our encourager. He is trustworthy. He loves us.
This morning God gave me the song, I'd Rather have Jesus. These are the words.

- I’d rather have Jesus than silver or gold;
I’d rather be His than have riches untold;
I’d rather have Jesus than houses or lands;
I’d rather be led by His nail-pierced hand- Refrain:
Than to be the king of a vast domain,
Or be held in sin’s dread sway;
I’d rather have Jesus than anything
This world affords today.
- Refrain:
- I’d rather have Jesus than men’s applause;
I’d rather be faithful to His dear cause;
I’d rather have Jesus than worldwide fame;
I’d rather be true to His holy name - He’s fairer than lilies of rarest bloom;
He’s sweeter than honey from out the comb;
He’s all that my hungering spirit needs;
I’d rather have Jesus and let Him lead

Ahh. I don't think that's safe.

That's a lotta bug bites.
I lined everybody up for a spray down with "family style" OFF Bug spray. It didn't seem to dissuade the mosquitoes at all. We started calling it sugar water. The other campers had brought a spray that was much more effective. Their spray killed the mosqitoes that were 500 yards away. Ours did nothing.
We figured out the reason. Ours was only 7% deet vs their vial was 100% deet.
So for the camping trip this coming week I got some 30% deet spray. Not enough to give us cancer but enough to avoid this...
