I guess God wanted us to get new carpet

While getting the house ready to rent, we took a significant step backwards as Gideon spilled a 5 gallon bucket of paint on our carpet.

The scope of a clean up like this is unimaginable

Robin is biting her tongue because Matt is looking a bit too happy for this disaster

I've been told it's quite possible to clean up a paint spill in carpet. (even of that scope) So if it happens again (and it will), try soaking up the spill as quickly as possible with paper towels. Then use a very small amount of soap and water to clean it up from there. You may need to use a carpet cleaner and/ or a wire brush. Good luck with that!

do you have any idea how many paper towels it takes to clean up 5 gallons of paint?

You scope as much as you can up and then start cleaning. I spilled a gallon in my hallway and it all came up. I started with water and a shop vac. and the a carpet cleaner the last thing. It looked like new

Robin, your expression as you rest your head in your hands is so...I don't know, maybe empathy evoking, is the right phrase.
