The trip out.
We had a 3 day drive. The first day happened to be Elijah's 12th birthday. We stayed the first night at our friend Ben's house. He got Elijah's favorite dessert, an apple pie and a cherry pie for his birthday. We left our husky, Fezzik, with Ben for 2 weeks while we were gone. Ben has 25 acres and Fezzik explored the whole thing and probably a little extra.
Titus slept on a penny and it was stuck to his back in the morning. He couldn't reach it to get it off.
At our first stop Elijah was able to get extremely close to a prairie dog.

| This is the Huisman and Boyd families. We took several pictures before we realized we had an extra kid in the picture. We didn't even know him, but he was hanging around the Huismans. Apparently he felt like he belonged. He is the one on the far right in the blue shirt. : ) |
We spent the night in Reno. And got to Grammies around 3:30 Sunday afternoon.
About 30 minutes after we got to Grammies, she took us swimming.
